“My name is Hamza Kabir Sani from Nigeria. I’m studying MSc Cyber Security. Well actually, I work for the government, so I’m a civil servant.
You get the scholarship fast and look for the course you want. I was given a flyer, I went through and I saw the course which attracted me because that is my field and I’ve been looking to see where, you know, I can go and help in cyber security.
Fortunately for me I found out that Northumbria University has built the course.
The modules were good. The structure of the course was also good. When I looked into it I thought it was exactly what I was looking for: Ethical Hacking, Wireless Network Security and Computer Network Security. So, these are the technical modules.
We have Information, Risk, Assurance and Management which is also important for any cyber security expert because in the course of protecting cyber space you have to do risk assessment and come up with a solution.
Actually, I want to go back to Nigeria and we will see what role I can play in terms of protecting the cyber space.”
