Introducing: MA Luxury Brand Management

From September 2018 our MA Luxury Brand Management programme will enable students to develop their skills in enterprise and leadership within the context of managing luxury brands. Throughout, students will gain an enhanced understanding of the production and distribution processes and therefore gain  knowledge of the strategic positioning of luxury goods.

The luxury consumable goods industry is an ever growing market. In 2017, the luxury goods market was valued at approximately 1.16 trillion euros, according to Statista. Therefore, it is become ever more essential that students are learning, exploring and mastering luxury brand management. Not only will students gain essential skills that will help forge a successful career in a highly competitive field, but the skills learned will help them stand out to employers.

With a focus on brand management, marketing, advertising, and social media, the programme provides important awareness of the problems and issues that the luxury goods sector can face, giving students the know-how to overcome these situations.

The programme structure includes a live project that gives students first-hand experience with a luxury brand in true-to-life situations.

As with many industries in the 21st century, morals and values are an important part of the luxury goods sector. Because of this, the programme also teaches corporate social responsibility and ethics, along with enterprise and leadership, giving students the skills to be both creative and responsible.

Through research-focussed learning and teaching, students will gain insight to independent and critical thinking, enabling them to explore, execute and write an analytical research piece.

This exciting programme will help prepare students for managerial roles within a luxury brand.
