MSc Business with International Management with Advanced Practice
Why did you choose to study at Northumbria University London?
I completed an undergraduate degree in automotive engineering. I used to work for an electric bike company, but during my time there I gained a particular interest in the more business side of the company. I chose Northumbria University because it has a reputation of being a good university and I was keen on studying in a multi-cultural business city with the opportunity to network.
Why did you choose to study International Management?
I chose this course because of the Advanced Practice element; I wanted to intern in my field of study and gain more knowledge around how multi-national companies are run.
How would you say your programme has benefitted you so far?
Two months into my course we went for a residential programme where we had activities to identify strengths and weaknesses. That was when I realised what I was good at – planning and contributing ideas. The activity helped me understand what I wanted to do in life and that was start my own business and grow it to an international scale.
What has been your favourite module so far?
My favourite module of the programme has been Global and Transitional business because we get to learn about the operations of businesses and use tools such as Euromonitor which is a website that provides strategic market research and data analysis on companies.
Any other comments?
This has been an upgrade to my degree. I come from a technical background and getting a business degree resonates perfectly with my future goals and what I want to do in life.
