Where was your internship completed?

I did my internship at Videoplugger as a Junior Sales and Marketing Assistant.

What were your typical day to day duties?

Contacting clients and pitching the company’s products such as footages, series, documentaries and films.

Did you enjoy your internship?

I enjoyed my internship a lot.  I got to meet new people and be in a multicultural environment. Everyone was open to teach you and help which was really good and a perfect compliment for my Masters.

What did you learn throughout the internship?

The experience itself was very positive. I learnt a lot about the market, how to approach clients and how to apply and pitch sales and marketing strategies.

What was the best part of your internship?

I think the whole internship was good. It was a constant learning experience.

Do you think the internship helped you improve your employability skills?

Totally. This was my first experience working for a media company. This experience helped me to have a broader perspective of the industry.

Would you recommend the intern experience to a friend?

I definitely would do. It’s an excellent way to learn and find a way to relate the lectures at university with the knowledge of the real working world. I have always thought that internships are the best way to learn as you’re working, adapting yourself with other employees and learning from them. It’s been an interesting process which has helped me learn and become a more professional employee.

Did you find the internship at the University helpful? Was the support provided to you useful?

The internship team were always very supportive and open to hear and solve any questions or doubts I had. They always took my needs into consideration.
