I am an Assistant Professor in Cyber Security/AI, a cybersecurity practitioner and academic with 20 years of experience in the commercial and higher education sector. Currently, I lead the role of MSc Programmes Leader at Northumbria University London. Over the years, I have worked in leadership, management, teaching and research and have held various roles such as External Examiner, Programme Leader, Module Tutor, Research Coordinator and Dissertation Supervisor. I work as a Cyber Security Executive FL at Naztech Plc, an American IT company and have participated into Automated Application Design and Implementation for Banks. Etc.
I have extensive programme design experience with a proven track record of embedding innovative features in new and existing programmes. I have led teams that have successfully designed, developed, and validated new UG & PG programmes with university partners. I have successfully participated into achieving accreditation for MSc. Cyber Security programme with National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), GCHQ UK and BCS. I have participated to the liaison and have successfully established EC-Council Academic Partnership with Northumbria University London to explore new contemporary opportunities for our students in Ethical Hacking and Digital Forensics.
I am research focused and have published journal articles in peer-reviewed journals, edited books, authored book chapters and published conference papers. Being an active researcher, I embed research in my Computer Science & Software Engineering teaching. In My PhD project, I have examined Covert Channels in IoT devices with cyber-attacks challenges and designed an Automated Model to Detecting Covert Channels in TCP/IPv6 Using Artificial Intelligence Algorithms.
