Dr Abdul Ali is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Northumbria University (London campus). Abdul is a faculty member of Northumbria University London who joined in October 2018. Abdul is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner trained. His background ranges from Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Strategy, Strategic management, Business Ethics, Sustainability, Circular Supply Chain and Lean Six Sigma.
Abdul has a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (PgCTHE) and he is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). Abdul had previously worked for the University of Bedfordshire as a Visiting Lecturer for over three years.
Abdul has completed his PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Bedfordshire (2015-2019). In addition to his Doctorate, he has Master of Business Administration (MBA), BA Hons in Business and Management.
His research interests lie in the area of operations and supply chain management, supplier relationships, supply chain collaboration, green supply chain and logistics, sustainability, lean supply chain, food supply chain and circular economy.
Abdul has collaborated actively with researchers in several other including green supply chain and marketing. He has several peer-reviewed publications in prestigious refereed conferences and ABS ranked journal. Abdul also reviews manuscripts within the field of supply chain management and sustainability in various prestigious journals including ‘Sustainability’ journal.
