Gordon has extensive experience in business and academia, with a total of 20 years in business and 17 years in tertiary education. His qualifications include BSc (Physics and Computer Science, Aston University), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Birmingham University), MBA (specialising in Finance, Sheffield Hallam University), DBA (Doctor Business Administration, University of Hull) & Certificate in Corporate Finance (London Business School).
He is a visiting lecturer and professor in Strategy, Marketing and Business Research with a range of Business Schools, including the University of Central Punjab’s Business School, Pakistan.
Gordon is research active and has published a number of books, book chapters, conference and journal articles. These publications include a book, Competitive Social Media Marketing Strategies, listed as a “best seller” by the publisher and is catalogued by Harvard University. He also supervises Undergraduates (50+), Masters (100+) and PhD candidates. Gordon is also a PhD International External Examiner for the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In the UK, Gordon has also Chaired PhD Viva and is on the Editorial Board of the Landmark Journal of Management & Social Sciences.
Gordon has 17 years experience in the telecommunciations industry, occupying senior management positions in technical training, sales training, business development and corporate strategy. Gordon has served as a Naval Officer in the Royal Navy, worked as an independent consultant for SMEs and was Head of Physics at a secondary school.
